Nghe An, January 22, 2026 – As part of its roadmap to implement English as a Medium of Instruction in Higher Education (EMI HE), Nghe An University (NAU) has been actively participating in a series of workshops and international webinars. These activities aim to strengthen faculty capacity and introduce innovative teaching methods to support EMI programs.
Through workshops and webinars organized by partner universities, educational organizations, and language specialists, NAU lecturers have gained exposure to:
– Strategies for differentiating content and language in EMI classrooms.
– Effective use of digital technology to enhance English-medium teaching.
– Translanguaging techniques to help students overcome language barriers.
– Enhancing Faculty Competence
          Participation in these workshops and webinars not only improves lecturers’ academic English proficiency but also lays the foundation for developing EMI HE programs tailored to the needs of students in Nghe An. The university plans to pilot EMI courses in majors such as Business Administration, Information Technology, and Marketing starting next semester.
