1. Training Objectives

To train practical accounting personnel with a solid foundation of scientific knowledge and good professional skills; to understand and apply basic and advanced knowledge in the Accounting field at a professional level; to have broad and deep professional abilities to apply theoretical knowledge to practical activities both domestically and internationally; to have independent and creative critical thinking; to have high self-learning and study capabilities.

2. Training Program

The training program is built in accordance with the Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the output standards, with a duration of 129 credits (excluding Physical Education and National Defense Education knowledge).

Including:

– General education knowledge (including elective knowledge): 33 credits

– Professional education knowledge: 86 credits, including:

  • Basic field knowledge: 30 credits
  • Major knowledge (including elective knowledge): 56 credits

– Graduation Internship and Graduation Thesis: 10 credits

3. Career Opportunities

Accounting is an indispensable part of all organizations. Every year, there are thousands of businesses established, on average each business needs 2-6 accountants. Moreover, in the current era of integration, international accounting and auditing organizations are always in short supply of personnel who are well-versed in their profession. Hence, the job opportunities in the field of accounting are vast and diverse. Graduates of the Accounting major, after graduation, can assume various positions such as:

  • Accounting, auditing, banking, tax, control, treasury, and financial advising specialists.
  • Securities brokerage staff, project management staff, trading and treasury staff.
  • Accounting Manager, Accounting Department Manager, Financial Manager.
  • Researchers, Lecturers, Economic Inspectors.

With the above tasks, accounting students can affirm their abilities in:

  • Profit-oriented units such as: foreign invested companies, commercial banks, insurance companies.
  • Non-profit organizations such as: public service institutions, schools, hospitals.
  • Government agencies such as: tax departments, statistical bureaus, investment planning departments.
  • Universities, colleges, and accounting training centers.

After graduating from the accounting field, students can further their education to advance their degree to a Master’s or PhD in various fields, particularly in economics.
