On August 28, 2026, as part of the ASEAN Month Celebration 2026 with the theme “Navigating Our Future, Together”, Pangasinan State University (PSU) successfully hosted the online ASEAN Language and Cultural Workshop.


The event featured Ms. Thai Thi Mai Lien, a lecturer from Nghe An University (Vietnam), as a distinguished guest speaker. In her 1.5-hour session, she introduced the fundamentals of Vietnamese language and culture, helping international students and faculty gain deeper insights into:
– Common greetings and everyday expressions.
– Proper pronunciation and basic sentence structures.
– Cultural meanings embedded in the language.
– The role of language as a bridge for cooperation and dialogue within the ASEAN community.

The lecture was designed to be lively and engaging, incorporating games, dialogues, and interactive activities, which created an enthusiastic atmosphere and encouraged active participation from students.
