In the context of rapid globalization and digital transformation in education, Nghe An University, in collaboration with Vinh Medical University and international partners from China, Thailand, and the Philippines, successfully hosted the International Conference under the theme “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Sustainable Higher Education Development.”

The event brought together over 300 participants — including university leaders, scholars, experts, scientists, and policymakers — from Vietnam, China, Thailand, and the Philippines, underscoring its academic importance and international reach.

Distinguished guests included Professor Dr. Zhao Songliang, Vice President of Guangxi University; Associate Professor Dr. Natchanok Jansawang, President of Maha Sarakham Rajabhat University; Associate Professor Dr. Khanisara Thansunthonsakun, President of Udon Thani Rajabhat University; and Associate Professor Dr. Rhodora Jugo, President of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, alongside many scholars joining online from the Philippines.

From Vietnam, representatives of the Vietnam Association of Universities and Colleges, the Club of Universities under Provinces and Centrally Governed Cities, provincial agencies, and numerous universities – including Hue University, Hong Duc University, Hai Phong University, Ha Long University, Phu Yen University, Quang Nam University, and Tien Giang University – attended.

 

 

Plenary session and Panel sesion explored pressing topics such as smart universities, AI in teaching and research, digital competencies, quality assurance, innovation, and university industry collaboration in the digital economy.

 

 

The conference reaffirmed Nghe An University’s role as a hub for international academic exchange in Vietnam’s North Central region, while promoting its image as a dynamic, innovative, and globally integrated institution.
