Nghe An University of Economics meets 3-star plus standard according to the University Performance Metrics (UPM)

On October 12, 2023, Nghe An University of Economics received a 3-star plus accreditation from the ranking system to compare the quality of Vietnamese and regional universities.

          UPM consists of 54 criteria and 8 field groupings. Every section is assigned a unique weight and standard, totaling a thousand points. The eight field groups are as follows: (i) IT and digital resources (10 criteria, weight 10%); (ii) Level internationalization (9 criteria, weight 6%); (iii) Research (4 criteria, weight 20%); Change innovation (4 criteria, weight 11%); Innovation ecosystem (4 criteria, weight 6%); and Strategic Management (5 criteria, weight 6%).

As a result, Nghe An University of Economics received an application-oriented total grade of 3 PLUS stars. Five out of eight categories received four stars, including internationalization, university ecosystem, scientific research, communinty services and strategic ambition.

Tens of thousands of NAUE students have graduated, serving as human resources for the province of Nghe An and the North Central region thank to a team of highly qualified lecturers and staff; facilities, equipment, practice laboratories, electronic libraries, computer rooms, and modern teaching and learning materials serve the training and scientific research of staff lecturers and students. According to its goal, Nghe An University of Economics will be a prestigious university in the area by 2035, offering application-oriented training, scientific research, and high-quality technology transfer in ASEAN.
