Following a number of conversations and exchanges, the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for educational cooperation was formally signed on December 11, 2024, by Nghe An University of Economics and Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, the Philippines. The ceremony combined online and in-person participation. The event was held in a formal setting, and it marked an important milestone in both universities’ internationalisation strategies, with the goal of establishing a global academic network.
Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Hiếu, Rector of Nghe An University of Economics, and Dr. Rhodora R. Jugo, President of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, signed the education cooperation memorandum
The two universities committed to implementing cooperation initiatives, including:
– Improving academic, cultural, and professional skills exchange programs for teachers and students.
– Coorganising international workshops on global challenges like innovation, digital transformation, and sustainable development; transferring technology; and working together on collaborative research initiatives.
– Developing bilateral joint training programs in the fields of economics, business administration, and engineering, as well as thematic workshops to improve education quality.
The signing of the cooperation agreement is a valuable opportunity for the two universities to develop training programs, foster creative research, and strengthen the friendly relationship between the two countries. It also brings sustainable educational values, contributing to the enhancement of training quality and international integration for both institutions.
This event not only marks the beginning of a comprehensive cooperation between the two universities but also creates diverse opportunities for students and faculty in the near future, including learning, research, and career development. The signing ceremony was a great success, opening a promising new phase for international educational cooperation between the two universities and between Vietnam and The Philippines.
